How does the LifeShirt® Clinical work?

The LifeShirt® Clinical uses proven LifeShirt® technology to deliver better quality, more cost effective data from non-invasive monitoring. The LifeShirt® Clinical features an enhanced, ambulatory version of respiratory inductive plethysmography (RIP), the gold standard for respiratory monitoring. RIP is used in more than 1,000 hospital intensive care units worldwide. It is ideal for monitoring accurate tidal volume of all subjects, including those who are unable to use spirometers due to age or other factors.
The Lifeshirt Clinical is able to collect subject data through various sensors including respiratory bands (which measure pulmonary function) and an ECG (which record electrical activity of the heart). It also tracks and records posture and activity information. Optional peripheral devices can monitor EEG/EOG, periodic leg movement, temperature, end tidal CO2, blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure and cough. The system can also include an electronic patient diary, the VivoLog®Digital Diary, to record subjective patient data about mood, symptoms and activity.

Proprietary VivoLogic® software allows you to decrypt and process stored data using patented algorithms. VivoMetrics® also offers expert LifeShirt® Study Services for data analysis.
